Esther M. (Roberti) McBride, 92,
Esther M. (Roberti) McBride, 92, of Milford, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014. She was the wife of the late William H. McBride Jr. who passed away in 1990. She was born in Milford daughter of the late Leonardo and Marguerite (Riccio) Roberti and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate of Milford High School Class of 1939.
Esther, was employed at the former Seamon Cobb Thread Mill in Hopkinton, the former Cooney’s of Milford and the former King Ford in Milford.
She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club, where she was a historian and chairwoman of many committees and also past president. As a young woman she was active in the 4-H Club where she learned the love of sewing. She was a den mother for the Boy Scouts, Girl Scout leader and Brownie consultant for the Milford area for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, avid bowler, card player, and very social with her friends.
She is survived by one daughter Mary-Jane and her husband Thomas Chiccarelli of Milford, and two sons, William H. McBride III and his wife Ann of Senoia GA, Robert J. McBride and his wife Natalie of Mendon, brother-in-law Roy Donovan of Hopkinton, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Atty. Angelo Roberti, Frederick Roberti, sisters Mary Lamberti, Louise Lavallee and Anita Tosches.
The funeral will be held Wednesday May, 21, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St. Milford. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M.

Sorry to have just learned of Esther's passing. She was always great with our customers and with all of the King Ford family members as well. I didn't know of her scouting efforts, but I certainly can see it now. May Esther's memory be eternal.
