Josephine A. (Pagucci) Veneziano, 89, of Milford, passed away peacefully, September 2, 2014, at the Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Matthew A. Veneziano Sr. who passed away in 1992. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Paolo and Marietta (Parente) Pagucci and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was educated in the Milford schools.
Mrs. Veneziano was employed at the former Derman Shoe Company for many years. She was employed as a waitress for the former Sea-n-Surf Restaurant in Framingham, the former Powder Mill Restaurant in Maynard and the former Lord-n-Lady Restaurant in Milford.
She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and a volunteer at the Milford Senior Center.
She is survived by her son Matthew Veneziano Jr. husband of Linda of Bellingham, one daughter Joanne and her husband Richard Bavosi of Milford, five grandchildren, Lori Anne Dumont and her husband John of Milford, David Bavosi and his wife Michelle of Hopedale, Tricia Veneziano, Karen Veneziano and Farah Veneziano all of Bellingham, three great-grandchildren, Anthony Bucchino Jr., Christopher Bucchino, Morgan Bavosi and one great-great grandchild, Anthony Bucchino III, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Pagucci, Carlo Pagucci, Paul Pagucci, John Pagucci, four sisters, Lena Federico, Catherine Grillo, Ann Patti and Jennie Bencivenga.
The funeral will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, in Milford. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M.
