Abel R. Correia, 64,

    Abel R. Correia, 64, of Milford, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2013, peacefully surrounded by his family and friends at his home. He was the husband of Maria (DaCosta) Correia of 43 years. He was born in Valdegas, Portugal, son of the late Francisco and Clementina (Rodrigues) Correia and immigrated to Milford in 1969.
     Mr. Correia retired in 2010 from Local #609 where he was employed as a laborer. He was a member of the Milford Portuguese Club and a communicant  of the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, sisters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.
     The funeral will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 9 A.M from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. in the St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church on Winter St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
     Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 P.M.
