John J. “Cag” Verrelli, 85,

                   John J. “Cag” Verrelli, 85, of Milford, passed away December 21, 2014 surrounded by his family in his home.  He was the husband of the late Dorothy (McEwan) Verrelli who passed away in 1994. He was born in Milford son of the Joseph and Antonietta (Ianelli) Verrelli and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was educated in the Milford schools. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and served aboard the USS Valley Forge, Midway, Coral Sea and the F.D.R. Carriers. Mr. Verrelli owned and operated the former Johnny Cag’s in Bellingham during the 1980’s.  After his retirement he was employed as a Driving Instructor at Jennie’s Driving School in Milford. In his early years he was the manager at the former Marcone’s Restaurant in Framingham.
He was a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and the Milford Italian War Veterans Post #40.
He is survived by his daughter Jean and her husband Jonathan Esslinger of Milford, three grandchildren, Eric Ruscitti, Resha Galindo and Melissa Santiago all of Milford, four great-grandchildren, Kaley Galindo, Jathen Galindo, Gianna Santiago and Lucas Santiago all of Milford.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Ruscitti and his brothers, James Verrelli and Leo Verrelli.  
The funeral will be held Monday, December 29, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home Inc. 46 Water St. Milford MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. The burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M.

Jean and Jon, So sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. He was a great guy! We all enjoyed driving him to dialysis. I especially enjoyed talking about the Red Sox and Patriots. He will be greatly missed. Our sincere condolences.
