Elena M. (Femina) Fontana, 83,

     Elena M. (Femina) Fontana, 83, of Milford, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 in Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Frank E. Fontana Jr. who passed away in 1987. She was born in Milford, daughter of the late Pellegrino and Giovannina (Renzulli) Femina and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Milford High school class of 1949. Mrs. Fontana retired in 1978 from the former Home National Bank where she was employed as a bank teller. 
She was a past president of the Sacred Heart Women’s Club, a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Milford Senior Center.
She is survived by her sons, Frank E. Fontana III and his wife Rosemary of Franklin, John C. Fontana and his wife Suzanne of Milford, one sister Lucy Caron of Peabody, sister-in-law Florence Bigelow of Westwood and Bette Femina of Melbourne FL, along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Anthony J. Femina and by her brother-in-laws Curtis B. Bigelow and Alfred C. Caron.   
The funeral will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30 P.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Human Services of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 5 East Main St. Milford MA 01757 or to a charity of one’s choice.
