Robert L. Stoico, 79,

     Robert L. Stoico, 79, of Milford, joyfully joined his wife, Boomie, November 1, 2015 at the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Sara M. “Boomie” (Ferrante) Stoico who passed away in 2012.  He was born in Milford, son of the late Joseph and America (Lucciarini) Stoico and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1954. He was a US Army Veteran. In his younger years, he made Milford history as a member of the Milford Legion Baseball League, John Powers Post #59. While serving for the US Army, he played baseball for the US Army team. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Braves Triple A team, where he played as a pitcher. He retired in 1983 from MCI Framingham where he was employed as an assistant steward. He was a proud member of the Hoboken Citizens Club in Milford.            
He is survived by three children, Robin J. Salmon and her husband Patrick of Milford, Robert V. Stoico of Portland OR, and Tina M. Saggio of Hopedale, four grandchildren, Steven Calitri, Sara Perez, Adam Salmon, and Abigail Saggio, and three great-grandchildren, Madison Calitri, Rafael Perez and Riley Perez, one brother Joseph Stoico of Milford, two sisters, Marie Grady and Joanne Bird, both of Milford.          
 The funeral will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St Milford Ma. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 7 East Main St. in Milford. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford.           Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Milford Regional Medical Center ICU, 20 Prospect St. Milford MA 01757
