Joseph John Iannitelli Jr., 93,

Mr. Joseph John Iannitelli Jr., 93, a life-long resident of Milford, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. He was the son of the late Joseph Iannitelli and Antonette (Tosches ) Iannitelli, husband of the late Agnes (Parzych)Iannitelli, and loving father of Lori Freeman. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Early in his professional career, he was employed by Bickford Shoes and Dennison Corporation. He was also employed for 19 years at Bestic Plastic and BestPack Paper in Natick. He retired as a mold technician from American Durafilm in Holliston.  He attended Milford Public Schools and was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford. Joe had many interests and talents. He enjoyed building model airplanes and flying RC aircrafts, woodworking, ballroom dancing, and drawing. As an avid outdoorsman, he constructed many stonewalls and landscaping projects. He was a fascinating person who loved sharing stories of his travels in the Navy and other memories.

Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.  His philosophy on life he often quoted from the poem Solitude by Ella Wheeler Wilcox, “Laugh and the world laughs with you; Weep and you weep alone.”

Joseph is survived by his daughter Lori, and her husband Matthew Freeman of Medway, his two granddaughters, Jenna and Anna Freeman of Medway, his niece Deborah Cistoldi and her husband Charles Cistoldi of Milford, and his nephew David Iannitelli and his wife Cindy Iannitelli.

The funeral services will be private. The burial with full military honors will be held at the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. Milford MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.

Lori, From a small boy listening to our fathers talk over coffee at Teds Diner, to just recently sitting on his stone wall having coffee with him. Listening to him tell me old stories of our Grandfather. I laughed and he smiled. Rest in Peace Uncle Joe...

Dear Lori, Matt and family, Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your dear father. You are all in my prayers. This quote has helped me a lot with my losses: “You may wonder why God took me home. Please be still and know that at this very moment, I am at peace in the presence of God.”
