Francis J. DiVitto, 89,

Francis J. DiVitto, 89, of Uxbridge, passed away October 25, 2023 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the husband of the late Barbara M. (Noferi) DiVitto who passed away in 2008. He was born in Milford son of Francis and Rose (Iannetti) DiVitto and moved to Uxbridge in 1968. He was a graduate of the Milford High school class of 1952. He was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard and a former reserve police officer for the town of Uxbridge.  He retired in 1999 from the former Volpe-Fisher Corp. where he was employed as an optical technician.         

He is survived by his children, Michael DiVitto and his wife Sharon of Whitinsville, Maryann and her husband Donald Roy of Whitinsville, one sister Anne Marie DaLesio of Milford, three grandchildren, Kristen Lucchetti, Melissa Merriman and Bianca DiVitto, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.           

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 12 P.M. (noon) at the Sacred Heart Church on Hopedale St. in Hopedale. The burial will be in the Hopedale Village Cemetery in Hopedale.

Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral Mass from 9:30 to 11:30 at the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford MA.
