Frederick L. Donahue, 86, of Bellingham, passed, Monday January 2, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Margaret A. (Palmeter) Donahue who passed away in 2013. He grew up in Newburyport Ma, son of the late Daniel and Ethel (Duggan) Donahue and lived in Newburyport before moving to Bellingham in 1963. He was a graduate of Newburyport High School class of 1948. He was a Korean War Coast Guard Veteran. He retired in 1992 from the Teamsters Local #494 in Quincy where he was employed as a business agent. He also was employed as a route salesman for the former Wonder Bread Company in Natick. He was a devoted father and grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Kevin Donahue and his wife Christine of Blackstone, Stephen Donahue and his wife Kathy of Uxbridge, Connie and her husband Michael Woodin of Colchester CT, one brother Daniel Donahue of Farmingdale NY, one sister, Connie Reisner of Freeport NY, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on Hopedale St., Hopedale MA.
The burial will follow in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Bellingham. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
