Dr Stacey Kennon formerly of Holliston Pediatrics Group and the staff there, wonderful team of caring souls. Nicholas's most recent care given at Umass Medical Critical Care unit Belmont St Worcester MA, a great group of doctors, nurses and staff providing medical care. His entire teams of doctors were all Angels in the outfield, such amazing medical professionals each such caring souls in their fields of expertise. I thank each one of them for caring & loving Nicholas the way they each have.
Nicholas was brave, strong, courageous, always an extremely happy little soul. Forever smiling and he had such amazing eyes that were the window to his soul. Everyone would always compliment his endearing eyes. He had such an amazing personality truly a gift to all and his incredible nature. He was simply a phenomenal little man a true miracle and gift from GOD. Nicholas loved his family & friends deeply. He was a funny full of life little boy. He & his sister Sydney had their own special bond, their own special way together, Sydney would joke around with him he loved her so much, He got a kick out of her, the nickname she had for him he would just react to her in such a cute way, they had this amazing loving and unique friendship and sibling bond. Nicholas and his nephew Logan well they were such best friends. They always had such fun together, their connection was heartfelt. They were always together and side by side. They shared a love between each other that was like two peas in a pod. Pals... He loved time with his Uncle Bill and he would laugh and enjoy just hanging out with him. He appreciated in his own way knowing how much Bill did for him with loving, caring and supporting him. He adored his cousins Kate, Jazz, Anthony,Lilah & Maddie, they would always hang out and spend time together, he loved each one of them in his own special way, He was always full of smiles and laughter with all of them. Nicholass enjoyed hugs, snuggling, and being held. He loved watching movies, his favorite tv shows, being read to, mainly just being around those he loved. He just had this contagious smile whenever his sister, or his nephew or his uncle or cousins entered his room, or came by to spend time. Which was something that happened daily.
Nicholas loved the outdoors, he could only go out during certain temps and weather. He just loved going for walks around the neighborhood in his stroller, going to the common, the park, the local library for storytime, the mendon zoo, going to the theatre with his family seeing the big screen with all of the family. We celebrated his last few birthdays by getting a private cinema room and enjoying time with family & friends, all of us just being together and him being able to do one of his favorite things. Nicholas loved the sky during the day or night, having the sun beaming on his face, the wind blowing his hair. He loved seeing the trees, the flowers & the little animals. He liked the stars glowing in the evening. So much so we did his entire room on the night sky, stars on his ceiling and walls that glowed, glow in the dark planets, He had astronaut figurines, stuffies and his bed looked like a space ship with mobiles hanging from the ceiling overhead that had cute space things. I would always tell him he was my universe. He loved vibrant bright colors, his favorite colors Pink, Orange. Nicholas absolutely loved Santa. OMG he would beam with smiles, his face lit up bigtime. Santa would come to see him come right to his room for a special visit. He just loves Santa Claus so. For Christmas his dad would dress up as Santa and Boy did it make Nicholas smile. It would fill me with how much he loved Santa. We ended up getting a suit to be able to have Santa visits more often. He loved Music, He was my music little man. He loved acoustics, the sound of the Guitar and the drums. He loved it. He would listen to our dear friend Jimi Jamison (Survivor) he really liked his songs, Every night on his cassette player he would fall asleep in bed listening to him. It so was. We got to go to Fenway a few times. Davis Farmland and many other funfilled places. He had a make a wish trip to Give Kids the World that was simply magical. We all had the time of our lives. A time I will treasure for always we met special friend Pamela Landwirth what an Angel she is. She is President of GKTW. She fell in love with Nick during our time there and she has been such a friend to us. Nick loved it there - meeting disney characters, all the specialized rides he went on and the train that went around the entire village and the horse back riding and the presents left for him daily. One of the funniest times ever. Brought such joy to him it was his first time ever on a plane. We had received the wish years back, He, his sister Sydney, his dad and myself had gone on this magical journey. It was amazing. He just loved spending time with loved ones, his sister Sydney and nephew Logan he had such fun with them all the time, He loved doing whatever with all his cousins.

He loved all his friends from the Holoprosencephaly groups. Families for Hope, the Carter Center for Brain Malformations, Jonathan Angels, a group my dear friend Barb Brown and I run for over 15 years Living in the World of Holoprosencephaly. This is how Nicholas and I met dear friends from Missouri - Barb Brown and her daughters Lizzie, Sarah, Amanda and their spouses Sean & Chuck. Barb's daughter Lizzie had the same birth defect as Nicholas. Barb and I would chat on the phone and Lizzie and Nick did too in their own special way making coo sounds and cute noises with each other, Nicholas & Lizzie we'd say they were girlfriend & boyfriend. Lizzie was very special to Nick, they had their own special bond, Lizzie was special to me too, she was sheer inspiration. Amazing little gal. Barb had made a special trip to see us sadly after Lizzie passed. Nick and I never were able to get to meet Lizzie in person. Liz changed our lives by her being. I enjoyed meeting Barb and her wonderful family Amanda, Chuck, Sean & Sarah were unable to make it. Nicholas enjoyed the time having them visit and loved them so.
