Edward P. Montanari, 79,

Edward P. Montanari, 79, of Harrisville RI formerly of Milford, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Hope Hospice in Providence RI. He is the husband of Katherine (Kloc) Montanari for 5 years. He was the husband of the late Caroline (Jodrey) Montanari who passed away in 1996. He was born in Milford son of the late Edward Montanari who died in World War II and the late Sylvia (Leone) Protano his late step-father Anthony Protano. He Lived in Milford most of his life before moving to Harrisville RI in 2018.Ed retired in 2002 from the Milford Highway Department where he was employed as a laborer. For many years.

He was a member of the Marcheogiano Club in Milford and the Milford Italian Club and a communicant of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

In addition to his wife he survived by his daughter, Stephanie Devlin and her companion James Nicholson of Uxbridge, two brothers, Robert Protano and his wife Stephanie of Douglas, Anthony Protano and his wife Melanie of N.C., four step-children, Sarah Kmiec of RI, Laurie Nolan of Woonsocket RI, Nicholas Belanger of Warwick RI, Stephen Belanger of Woonsocket RI, seven step-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Jodrey.

A calling hour will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46 Water St., Milford, MA. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 5 East Main St. Cremation will follow and the burial will be at a later date in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham MA 02452
