Anthony J. DePasquale, 89,

Anthony J. DePasquale, 89, a lifelong resident of Milford, MA, passed into the peace of the Lord surrounded by his family on May 8, 2024. Anthony was born in Milford in 1935, graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1952, and attended Worcester Polytech Institute. From there, he served his country in the Army Reserve. Anthony owned and operated Tony D’s farmstand in Milford. He also worked as a produce buyer and specialist at various local supermarkets. Most recently, he worked in facility maintenance at Milford National Bank.

Tony’s mission in life was to build a strong and loving family. This was accomplished by many hours around the table for Sunday dinners, annual trips to the Sandwich Fair in New Hampshire, and celebrating any and every occasion as an excuse to spend time together. He was truly happiest when surrounded by his family.

He enjoyed spending time gardening, playing and giving piano lessons, reading, and completing word searches. He enjoyed vacationing in New Hampshire and taking trips to Nantasket beach. He will be missed for his sense of humor and the lightheartedness he brought to conversations. Anthony was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and after retirement, he was a member in the choir.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Patricia A. (Mussulli) DePasquale, their cherished children, Anthony J. DePasquale II, Victoria A. DePasquale, Elaine M. (DePasquale) Carangelo and her husband Robert, and son in-law Thomas D. Small. He was predeceased by his daughter Cynthia A. (DePasquale) Small.

He was known and loved as Papa by his grandchildren, Katherine P. (Small) Blight, Matthew D. Léger-Small, Ashley C. (DePasquale) White, Anthony J. DePasquale III, Austin R. Carangelo, and Bianca L. (Carangelo) Bartgis, as well as his four great grandchildren, Annalise V. Blight, Olivia D. White, Ella E. White, and most recently, Anthony J. DePasquale IV. He also leaves behind brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Anthony was also predeceased by his parents, Gaetano and Oreander DePasquale, his mother and father in law, Anthony and Eleanor Mussulli, his brother and sister in law, Arnold and Shirley Sturks.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10 A.M. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church 5 East Main St. The burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Medway Rd. Milford Ma.
