Pina Gulino (Ragonese), 96, of Milford, In loving memory of a beautiful wife, mom, sister and friend, who passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at Milford Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Though her journey was a long 96 years, her death will always feel as if it came too soon. There are no words to express the deep void left from her absence. Her quick wit, warm embrace, and love for life are all cherished memories now.
Pina was born in Tusa Sicily, daughter of the late, Tommaso and Maria (DiNoto) Ragonese and immigrated to America in 1961, where she started a new life with her husband, Fortunato. She worked at Timex clock company and it’s variations until she retired. Along the way taking classes to learn a new language and how to drive, while raising a child. Just 20 years later in 1981, Pina would face the loss of Fortunato. As a widow for 44 years coming from nothing, working hard in the country she came to love, Pina made a great life for herself and family. Pina’s strength and kindness were boundless.
Family and friendships meant everything. Her incredible strength, love for family, and life guided her through the good and challenging times. She had an especially strong bonds with her siblings and their children in Italy. She was a devoted catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. She was proud of becoming a U.S. citizen and owning her own home. She enjoyed Cooking, sewing, gardening, and yes, always cleaning. Some of her favs were Playing Italian card games and M&M’s. We will honor Pina’s life as we continue to fulfill our journey with the strength and values she has instilled in us.
Pina is survived by her loving son, Mauro, and daughter-in-law, Kathy and her extended family John, Eileen, Joseph and Gillian Valanzola.
The funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family
