Dear António,
I'm writing this letter, knowing that you're not here anymore, but I'm
praying, with all my heart, for you to listen to my words.
Words are few, thoughts are deep.
Two days have passed by since you left us. Today, the sun is shinning
beautiful than ever. I'll tell you a secret: I thought the sun wouldn't
shine again, since you're not here, but now I understand that it has to
shine because the sky gained a new, pure and wonderful light. Deep in
our hearts a memory is kept of a man that was never selfish, always
loving and kind. You were someone we could laugh with, until tears ran
down our faces. One who was better God never made, a wonderful worker,
so loyal and true, honest and liberal. Your rich legacies shall never
die. I'm so sorry that you won't be here to tell your grandchildren all
of your stories or to sing them "Gloria", your eternal song. They will
be very proud of you. But though we're parted for a while, I promise
you, we'll meet again.
Your loving laughter has gone, God took you home
he gave you wings to fly, a halo which you already had. He made you an angel.
But he made we sad.
For we miss you so much.
