Maurice “Punt” Panagian, 88,
Maurice “Punt” Panagian, 88, of Milford, passed away March 5, 2015 in the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing in Westborough. He was the husband of the late Janice "Mary" (Grillo) Panagian who passed away in 2000. He was born in the Heights in Milford, of the late Serop and Marian (Parnagian) Panagian and was a lifelong Milford resident. He was a graduate of the Milford High School class of 1944. He was a World War II Navy Veteran.
Mr. Panagian, was employed by the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale for many years and retired from the former Joe Tex Auto Body in Mendon where he was an auto body technician. He was presently employed as a runner at the Imperial Chrysler in Mendon. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Honorary Mayor of Prospect Heights Association, Armenian Veterans, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1544.
He is survived by his daughter, Laurie Panagian of Milford, caretaker and niece Stephanie Fino of Mendon, his sister Agnes Costa of Milford, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, George Panagian, Vartan Panagian, Elmon Panagian, Irene Theroux, Margaret Alexandrian and Virkin Krikorian.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St Milford Ma. A Celebration of Life with Eucharistic will be held at 11 A.M in the Trinity Episcopal Church on 17 Congress St. in Milford
The burial will follow in the Vernon Grove Cemetery on Depot St in Milford.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
