Tina Oneschuk, 84,

Tina Oneschuk, 84, of Milford, died Saturday, March 12 at Milford Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer.  She is survived by her siblings: Alice Oneschuk, Olga Anderson, Anna Parente and her husband, James Parente, Joseph Oneschuk and his wife Kathleen, all of Milford, as well as Lillian Smart of Atlanta, Georgia and Alexander Oneschuk of Hopedale, as well as many nieces and nephews and a great niece. 
Tina was born on July 19, 1927 in Milford and was raised in Prospect Heights.  She was the eighth of nine children born to Alexander and Rosalie (Kmita) Oneschuk of Milford.  She is also predeceased by her sisters, Rosalie Calhoun of Coronado, California and Mary Oneschuk, of Milford.
Tina graduated from Milford High School (Class of 1945) and the Milford Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nursing Association.  She joined the nursing staff at Milford Hospital and later became the Director of Nursing.  She also served in this role at Cityview Nursing Home in Brookline, MA before she became the Director of Nursing at the newly opened Medway Country Manor in 1978 until her retirement in 1995. 
Calling hours will be held at the Consigli-Ruggierio Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, between 5 to 8 PM.  Funeral services will be held there on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11 am, and burial will follow at the Vernon Grove Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Oncology Department of the Dana Farber Cancer Center in Milford would be welcomed.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Consigli-Ruggierio Funeral Home at 46 Water Street in Milford.
