Amelia "Millie" (DeStefani) Rummo, 99,
Amelia "Millie" (DeStefani) Rummo, 99, of Milford passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the Genesis Healthcare in Milford. She was the wife of the late Dominic Rummo who passed away in 1982. She was born Woonsocket RI daughter of the late Carlo and Augusta (Rosati) DeStefani and lived in Milford for many years.
She was educated in the Woonsocket schools. Mrs. Rummo was employed as a nurses aid at the the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham for many years. She was a volunteer at the Milford Hospital for 10 years.
Amelia’s family would like to thank the entire staff at the Genesis Healthcare in Milford for all the loving care they gave to her.
She is survived by her children, Frank and his wife Elaine (Quenneville) Rummo of Milford, Dominic and his wife Barbara (Trautwein) Rummo of Milford, June and her husband Leonard Lynch of Falmouth, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard “Dick” Rummo.
The funeral will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 9 A.M. from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home 46 Water St. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Church on Hopedale St. in Hopedale MA.
The burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Milford MA.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Milford Regional Medical Center 20 Prospect St. Milford MA 01747
